Move to Improve® Your Balance April 13, 2015

Having good balance is one the most important aspects of healthy aging. This class is based on the Feldenkrais Method® and Movement Intelligence® which uses creative and innovative movements that will “feed and challenge your brain”. There is extensive research that show that balance can be greatly improved. These movements will be done sitting, standing and walking. Learn and improve the quality of your life. Your instructor, Tancha McKnight who has been teaching for 23 years, will verbally direct the class through interesting, fun and challenging movements to improve your balance.

Walk for Life® April 4, 2015

This innovative and exciting program was created by Ruthy Alon, founder of Movement Intelligence®, and Feldenkrais Teacher/Trainer since 1965. This class is designed to improve your comfort and efficiency in walking. It is a tour-de-force learning opportunity and will benefit everyone who wishes to enhance, protect and invigorate their walking experience. Walking increases our flexibility, strength and stamina, and can be one of life’s great pleasures. This will be both an indoor and outdoor class and involves the use of walking poles. Tancha McKnight is a Feldenkrais Teacher and a Pioneer Walk for Life© Teacher. She has been teaching for 24 years. Please bring your walking poles if you have a pair.

Awareness Through Movement® March 26, 2015

Class starts March 26, 2015

This class is for anyone who wants to learn to move easier with less pain, increase vitality and self-awareness and develop the capacity to  feel fantastic. Classes are designed to stimulate brain/mind function, coordination, mobility and physical strength. You will use your body and brain to feel younger, stronger and more fit! Slow easy movements progress to more complex and active movements.  Please dress comfortably and bring a big towel and pillow.
