This class is for anyone who wants to learn to move easier and with less pain, to  increase vitality and self-awareness and develop the capacity to  feel, notice and know how to care for oneself. Classes are designed to stimulate brain/mind function, coordination, mobility and physical strength. You will use your body and brain to feel younger, stronger and more fit! Move to Improve Your Balance —– January 2019

Having good balance is a very  important aspect of healthy aging. This class is based on the Feldenkrais Method® and Movement Intelligence® which uses creative and innovative movements that will “feed and challenge your brain/motor cortex”. There is extensive research that show that balance can be greatly improved. These movements will be done sitting, standing and walking. Learn and improve the quality of your life through learning to move and think about movement in a new way. Your instructor, Tancha McKnight, who has been teaching for 27 years, will verbally direct the class through interesting, fun and challenging movements to improve your balance.

Walk for Life® August 23, 2014

This innovative program, based on the Feldenkrais Method, was created by Ruthy Alon, Feldenkrais Teacher/Trainer since 1965. This class is designed to improve our comfort and efficiency in walking. It is a tour-de-force learning opportunity and will benefit everyone who wishes to enhance, protect and invigorate their walking experience. Walking increases our flexibility, strength and stamina, and can be one of life’s great pleasures. This will be both an indoor and outdoor class and involves the use of walking poles. Tancha McKnight is a Feldenkrais Teacher and a Pioneer Walk for Life© Teacher. She has been teaching for 23 years and will be offering this class for the first time in this area. Please bring your walking poles if you have a pair.

Stress Busters/Start Sept 16, 2013

Most people want to be happier, healthier, less stressed, and more self-accepting, but it’s often hard to find the time to work toward these goals. This class will be based in part on The Feldenkrais Method, Sounder Sleep Techniques and other current and ancient proven practices, You will learn powerful targeted skills that can be done daily in bite-sized pieces.. These practices are grounded in fascinating science, psychological understanding and ancient wisdom.
